Chef Byron J. White

Byron J. White, a self-taught, New England-born chef who has worked extensively in New England and across the United States has an intense love for food and a deep desire to spread his passion on all those interested. Chef Byron has been spotlighted on many live TV shows, cooking demonstrations, radio talk shows, etc... "I have been reviewed by and have had recipe publications on Phantom Gourmet, Bon Appetit, and Gourmet magazines. They have all been quite an honor." Chef Byron has been nominated by the James Beard Foundation for Outstanding Chef of the Year Northeast, and was an award recipient for Who's Who Among American Chefs. He is an avid supporter of local farms and is involved heavily with CISA (Community Involved In Sustaining Agriculture). Byron received the DiRona (Distinguished Restaurants of North America) award, Wine Spectator Award, the Valley Advocate "Best Of" Award, and has received a five star diamond restaurant rating in his career. Chef Byron's goal is to strive to further stimulate, educate and motivate aspiring chefs of the future. He is very eager to share his philosophy and tremendous insight in the restaurant industry with those creative culinary minds in the area who want to build their future in this business. "I want to share my passion for this business with others; I believe I can de-mystify the culinary process so people can enjoy food in a whole new light."

And, Chef Byron was recently honored with the distinction of joining the Business West Class of 2010 "40 Under 40". This honor is bestowed on only 40 of Western Massachusetts' rising business and civic leaders who have exemplified character in their business and in their community.
