Watch Chef Byron and other local Celebrity Chefs compete in the Iron Chef event at What's Cookin' Kids on Shaker Road in East Longmeadow. The event held on April 27th brought out a crowd of nearly 50 to see two great local chefs compete for bragging rights. Chef Byron and Chef John Reese of the Federal in Agawam challenged each other course after course for nearly four hours. With only 11 points out of over 2000 available marking the lead, Chef Reese took home the Golden Spoon...for now...

Drunken Duck Egg Rolls
Shredded duck confit with brandy soaked cranberries, pecans, shredded cheddar and chestnut puree in an egg roll served with apple, berry chutney
Savannah Belle Salad
Mixed salad tossed with grapes, grape tomatoes, spiced pecans, balsamic candied walnuts, bleu cheese with a pistachio/champagne vinaigrette
Bucatini Alla Matriciana
Hollow spaghetti tossed in a spicy red sauce with pancetta, onions and basil
Balsamic and Herb Grilled Ribeye Steak
Served with a tomato, basil relish
Lavender Creme Brulee
Rich, creamy custard infused with lavender with a crackly sugar crust
