Diners in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts welcomed the original owners to Springfield as Ristorante Carmela. The location in the city's South End was chosen because traditionally it was the part of town where the Italian community came to dine, play and pray. As this community expanded and evolved, it became necessary for the business to grow and change as well. In 2006, Ristorante Carmela closed its doors.
Feeling like a new and updated restaurant was needed to satisfy the hungry appetites of those left behind by the closing of Ristorante Carmela and when space became available in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, a brand new restaurant destination was born - Pazzo Ristorante. Quickly, talk about the quality of service and hospitality of the staff paired with a creative and mouthwatering menu helped Pazzo Ristorante become a destination for local residents and businesses as well as travelers making their way north and south, east and west.
Our expansion continues as we develop the PAD (Pazzo After Dark). Our Director of Marketing works diligently every day bringing in exciting acts, performers and Vegas-style shows to entertain the body and mind.
